About GajiWise
A free Malaysian salary, budget, and affordability planner, built by an independent developer in Kuala Lumpur.
What GajiWise is
GajiWise is a free salary and budget planner for Malaysia. You enter a gross monthly salary in MYR and it returns take-home pay after PCB (monthly tax deduction), EPF, EIS, and optionally SOCSO, together with what that salary works out to per working day and per hour.
The same take-home figure then drives a monthly budget, a recommended 50 / 30 / 20 split, an emergency-fund target, a car affordability check (hire purchase plus running costs), and a house affordability check (reducing-balance loan plus running costs).
On the salary page you can also project EPF to age 55 using the latest KWSP dividend, and see how a yearly raise changes take-home and PCB.
Who it is for
Employees comparing a job offer against their current payslip, fresh graduates seeing statutory deductions for the first time, freelancers estimating the employee-equivalent cost of a contract, and anyone who wants to check whether a payslip looks right before raising it with HR, or whether a car or a house fits this month's net pay.
How the numbers are worked out
PCB uses the LHDN 2026 bands with RM9,000 personal relief, the RM4,000 EPF relief cap, spouse and child relief, and the RM400 rebate when chargeable income is RM35,000 or below.
EPF uses the statutory 11% employee rate, with the employer at 13% for wages of RM5,000 and below and 12% above that. Members aged 60 and over use the lower 0% / 4% rates. The EPF outlook compounds those contributions with published KWSP dividend rates; it is a planning path, not a KWSP statement.
EIS is 0.2% from the employee and 0.2% from the employer, capped at the PERKESO wage ceiling of RM6,000. SOCSO is included by default because it appears on most Malaysian payslips, and it can be switched off.
Car loans use hire-purchase flat interest on the financed amount. House loans use reducing-balance interest on the remaining principal. Neither is a bank offer.
What GajiWise is not
GajiWise is not LHDN, KWSP, or PERKESO software, and it is not affiliated with them. It is not certified payroll software and it does not file anything on your behalf. It is not a lender and does not approve loans. Results are planning estimates. Allowances, benefits-in-kind, arrears, company-specific payroll rules, legal fees, and stamp duty can move the real figure, so confirm anything important with your payroll department, a licensed tax agent, or the bank.
Accounts, pricing, and AI
The calculator, the monthly budget, the car check, and the house check work without an account and cost nothing. Creating a free account adds saved salary snapshots and AI analysis of your leftover pay, reliefs, and a 50 / 30 / 20 split. When AI analysis runs, salary figures and budget category totals are sent to an external language model provider, which is described in full in the Privacy Policy.
The interface is available in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
